I am a qualified teacher and tutor of Biology and Chemistry with over 30 years experience. As well as GCSE , IGCSE and Nat 5, I also teach A- level Biology , Higher Chemistry, Higher Human Biology and Higher Biology. I am happy to teach pupils online or in person. Prior to my teaching career, I worked for 18 years in medical research and have published much of my research.

I saw Lindsay intermittently while completing my National 5 Biology and Chemistry, having struggled with various concepts in both subjects. She was very supportive of me from the start and has always explained things thouroughly, which often makes the difference in the sciences! I now have frequent sessions, beginning the Higher courses, and have found I feel much more at ease than I expect I would have without her guidance. Lindsay is exceptionally knowledgable in both subjects, which makes each session far more interesting, and she always ensures I am happy with areas I have pinpointed before moving on, therefore always you at a pace I am comfortable with. Previously, Chemistry was one of my weaker subjects, however now I have a greater understanding which has given me so much more confidence following her immense support. Thank you!

Nothing but good things to say about Lindsay. My daughter moved to her after a bad experience with a previous tutor, who was unreliable and a frankly a bit odd. What a difference!!! Always available, on the odd occasion she was busy at her usual time, there was no problem rearranging. Jenna found her very knowledgable, approachable and patient, and this helped her understand the Higher chemistry course quickly, having not done Nat 5 the year before. With the extra support, Jenna got an A, and onto her university course of choice. Would highly recommend!

Lindsay has been tutoring my daughter who has just sat her National 5 Biology exam. She has made a huge impact on my daughters knowledge and confidence in the subject. If Oscars were awarded for chemistry tuition then Lindsay would be a multiple winner. She tutored our son,Sam, for chemistry and changed him from an average student struggling with some of the concepts and calculations into an enthusiastic, competent and confident advocate of the subject. Lindsay is an excellent tutor and made my 17 year old son feel a lot more confident about his higher chemistry exam. He is a quiet boy who doesn't ask questions but she made sure he was understanding everything from the lessons and also managed to fit us in for double sessions in the run up to his exam.

Lindsay is quite simply a wonderful teacher and I cannot praise her tutorial skills highly enough based on the improvement in Higher Chemistry by my granddaughter after approx. year of tuition by Lindsay. My granddaughter describes Lindsay as having so much patience and says that Lindsay explains topics in a way that makes a topic so much more understandable to her.My granddaughter speaks so highly of Lindsay and is very grateful for the huge improvement in her understanding of chemistry thanks to Lindsay's teaching and her encouragement to learn and understand chemistry.
