With over 20 years of teaching experience, I am an experienced Primary School Teacher and a graduate of the University of Warwick, passionate about helping children grow in confidence and achieve their full potential. I specialise in maths, English, phonics and 11+ preparation, delivering engaging, personalised lessons tailored to each child’s individual needs and learning style.
Throughout my career, I have supported children of all abilities, helping them strengthen their understanding, build confidence and develop a positive attitude towards learning. I pride myself on creating a calm, supportive and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable, motivated and able to thrive.

I cannot recommend Saty highly enough. She has been supporting my daughter online for just over a year now, and the progress we’ve seen in that time has been incredible. When my daughter left Year 6 she was slightly below the expected level in English, but Saty met her exactly where she was and has supported her patiently and thoughtfully ever since. She is wonderful, supportive, professional, and extremely reliable, and she consistently goes above and beyond. What really stands out is how she adapts her teaching to my daughter’s needs and pace, always guiding her to achieve the very best she can without ever pushing too hard. Because of this, my daughter is not only improving academically but is also becoming much more confident in her abilities. Saty shows real dedication to her students. When she was aware of the book my daughter was currently studying at school Saty also read the full book herself so she could fully support my daughter. That level of commitment truly says everything about how much she cares. My daughter is now thriving, enjoying English far more, and growing in confidence each week. Satvinder has been tutoring my 9 year old daughter in Maths and English in preparation for 11+. My daughter’s confidence was quite low, but now seems to be improving with Satvinder’s guidance. She is highly knowledgeable in primary education, and seems to have a strong grasp of childhood psychology - helpful in our case. The feedback I receive is very detailed, and has helped me target certain areas of weakness so we can work together to help her reach her targets in a less stressful manor. I would highly recommend. Saty started tutoring my daughter in Jan and the results have been fantastic My daughter was ok in maths but sometimes lacked confidence in her abilities , which meant she sometimes made silly mistakes on topics she knows well . Saty has been working with her , and the results are amazing to watch My daughter is a lot more confidence , she approaches maths with statements like ‘ this is easy , I can’t wait to get started ‘! Saty has taught her to show her workings , explains questions she gets wrong and I can definitely see the light bulb moment in her. It has just clicked ! Thanks Saty . My daughter still living in Hong Kong so we really have no idea where to begin to prepare for those Bond 11+ or SET exams. Luckily, we were able to get in contact with Satvinder on the Firstutors and started the lessons early in March. Apart from imparting knowledge, Satvinder is also very patient and encouraging, I can see my daughter enjoys the classes very much. We are so looking forward to my daugther could be accepted by a grammar school later this year. Thanks

My daughter had been visiting Sat for 4 weeks now and I’ve noticed that her confidence has increased a lot when it comes to maths! Her teachers at school have also noticed a massive improvement! Sat demonstrates such enthusiasm, professionalism and is so reassuring and encouraging! My daughter looks forward to seeing her every week. The homework she sends back is consistent and she spends a lot of time ensuring that my daughter is confident in an area before moving on! Can’t recommend enough!
