Tim
GCSE & A Level Mathematics Tutor | 9 Yrs Experience
About
Tim has been tutoring mathematics with young people between the ages of 11 and 18 since 2017, when he earned his PGCE in Secondary Mathematics. Before that, he earned a degree in Physics from the University of Bristol.
He utilises a friendly, encouraging approach with his students, which he finds creates a strong bond between tutor and student, resulting in much more successful sessions, and therefore better long-term progression. Tim is also a working musician alongside being a tutor. He loves both jobs! He allows flexibility to the scheduling of his sessions, with a 'no lesson, no fee' agreement.
Tim enjoys working with young people, as he has their futures and aspirations at his heart. He has substantial experience working in Alternate Provision, helping young people work with various difficulties and diagnoses. Tim believes that this shouldn't be a barrier to how young people learn, but instead should be utilised for the student's success!
