PhD, MSc, BSc Physics 1st Class Imperial College, 18 years tutoring experience, Examiner
About
For parents seeking exceptional academic results combined with genuinely inspiring teaching, I offer a rare combination of elite academic achievement, examiner expertise, and over 18 years of proven tutoring success.
Educated at both University College London and Imperial College London, with a PhD-level background in Image Processing and Computer Vision, an MSc in Computing Science, and a First Class Honours degree in Physics, I specialise in transforming students’ confidence and performance in Maths and Science at every level from KS3 through to A-level and Oxbridge preparation.
As an A-level Maths and (I)GCSE Science examiner, I understand exactly what exam boards are looking for and how top-performing students secure the highest grades. My students are taught not only what to learn, but how to think, solve problems independently, and develop the analytical skills required for long-term academic success.
Over the past 18 years, 99% of my students have achieved substantial improvements, with many increasing by 2–5 grades within months of starting tuition. Parents consistently describe my lessons as transformational, highly personalised, and confidence-building, supported by extensive verified testimonials.
Before dedicating myself fully to education, I spent 13+ years working as a Senior Quant Analyst at prestigious investment banks and hedge funds, including AllianceBernstein in Mayfair and Investcorp in Bahrain, developing sophisticated financial models and investment strategies. This real-world analytical experience enables me to teach Maths and Science with exceptional depth, clarity, and practical insight.
My teaching philosophy is simple: every student can excel when taught in a way that matches their personality, learning style, and potential. I create bespoke lessons tailored to each student, combining rigorous exam preparation with encouragement, structure, and intellectual curiosity. The result is not only higher grades, but students who become far more confident, independent, and motivated learners.

Research & Analytical Expertise

The project successfully achieved an 80% diagnostic success rate and strengthened my expertise in mathematical modelling, analytical thinking, and problem-solving at the highest academic level.

PASSION FOR TEACHING
My passion for teaching began during my doctoral studies, where I taught and mentored undergraduate students and discovered how deeply rewarding it is to unlock a student’s confidence and potential.
Over nearly two decades of tutoring, I have learned that academic success is rarely about intelligence alone. Most students simply need teaching that is adapted to how they personally learn. Some require structure and discipline, others need confidence rebuilding, while high-achieving students often need intellectual challenge and refinement to reach top grades.
This is why every lesson I teach is carefully tailored to the individual student. I focus not only on mastering content and exam technique, but also on developing resilience, independent thinking, and genuine enjoyment of the subject. Many parents tell me their children become noticeably more confident and motivated within just a few weeks of starting lessons.

How we verify these
Each imported review went through admin review. The tutor proved ownership of the First Tutors profile via one of two paths:
- Photo match. The First Tutors avatar matched the tutor's identity-verified Tutorperch photo, confirmed by admin.
- Cryptographic email check. The tutor uploaded an original First Tutors email (.eml). We verified the DKIM signature against First Tutors' signing keys and cross-checked the embedded tutor ID against the claimed profile.
The review text is the original reviewer's own words, quoted as-is. We verified the tutor's ownership of the profile, not the truth of what each individual reviewer wrote.

We are incredibly grateful for the support and guidance Asma is provided to our daughter in physics. Her teaching is making a remarkable difference in our daughter's understanding and confidence with the subject. Physics had always been a challenge for her, but with Asma's clear explanations, patience, and encouragement, she is becoming more confident. What stands out most is how Asma tailors each lesson to suit her learning style, breaking down complex topics into manageable parts and always ensuring she truly understands before moving on. We couldn’t have asked for a better tutor and would highly recommend Asma to any parent looking for dedicated and effective support for their child.
Asma replied
Thankyou Kav for such encouraging words. Appreciate it.

My daughter loves working with Asma. She says that Asma always listens and makes my daughter feel much more confident. Asma provides focused help and support where it is most needed by tailoring her approach to the student's specific needs. She doesn't flood you with information which can sometime feel overwhelming with other tutors but gives practical tips and help and as my daughter put it: Asma answers my questions without judgement even if the questions are a bit stupid. She has made such a difference in my daughter's understanding of physics. Hopefully her GCSE grade will be the testament of this. I'm very happy that we found Asma.
Asma replied
Thank you Marina for your encouraging feedback.

Asma is the best educator and mentor my 13yo son could ever hope for. He's mathematically gifted and asked us to find someone who could help him take his skills to the next level. Asma's impressive academic background coupled with unique experience with applied maths caught our attention immediately. After the first lesson it became quite clear that her credentials just a part of what she has to offer. Asma has an incredible gift for explaining complex topics in a very digestible and entertaining way. She has expert knowledge of a plethora of maths topics and is always prepared to present the most fun and challenging ways to tackle those. After a short while my son begged us to set up a twice- instead of once-per week tutoring sessions because he just couldn't have enough of her teaching. Asma is an amazing professional, with great attitude, experience and talent for sparking interest and motivation in her students. We couldn't ask for a better tutor for our son.
Asma replied
Thank you so much Wojciech. Your son is an absolute delight to work with. His intelligence and sharpness always keeps me on my toes:)

Asma has been a brilliant maths GCSE tutor for my daughter. Predicted a 5 in GCSE higher maths at the start of Year 11, she has come out with an 8. Her teachers feedback was that this was the greatest in-year increase in maths grades for any student across the entire school. This is due to Asma's excellent teaching, also her consistent encouragement and support for my child - who came to believe she could do it. Asma is kind, reliable, and extremely good at both maths and teaching. My daughter is delighted with the results she has a achieved and as parent I can't thank Asma enough for all her help.
Asma replied
Thank you so much Charlotte. I'm so happy for her success.

Asma tutored our daughter for GCSE, mainly Chemistry but also Biology and Physics. Our daughter struggled with Chemistry and Physics and was not that motivated to study these subjects. Asma taught the subjects in such a way that our daughter found them interesting and after every lesson said, ‘Asma is amazing, she knows so much stuff’. She really enjoyed the lessons. Asma is able to teach in a way that suits the student and can work at their pace. She has a friendly and calm demeanour which my daughter really liked. We will be using Asma again in the future for our other daughter for sure. Thank you Asma for giving your time and creating a learning environment which resulted in a real confidence in the subjects.

Asma worked with our son in preparation for his GCSE Maths exam. Our son had slipped in his grades and we wanted to get him back up to at least a grade 7. Asma provided excellent weekly support, our son enjoyed the sessions and completed additional homework set by Asma. We were all delighted by his recent mock exam results which he reached with Asma's excellent tutoring.

In the relatively short time my son has been working with Asma he has gained confidence in the Physics topics they have studied. She has built on the knowledge he already had, helping him understand far more and I am sure this will stand him in good stead for the GCSE exams to come. Thank you.
