I have many years of experience in teaching (started teaching in 1997), Latin, Classical Greek and Classical Civilisation (in schools as well as one-to-one tutoring). In my lessons I teach all aspects of the Classical languages and/or civilisation, including grammar, translation skills, literature and history, all levels, from primary school, Common Entrance level, GCSE to A level or IB. I have a large supply of teaching material which I use in my tailor-made lessons and share with my students. I graduated from Edinburgh University with a Master (Honours) Degree in Classics; I have two teaching qualifications (iPGCE and TEFL), QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and speak five languages: English, Dutch, French, Italian and German. During weekdays I teach Classics at a grammar school in Kent, which I enjoy very much, but I also really love tutoring students one-to-one, as it allows me to help students achieve their very best in the subject, build a rapport with them and prepare them for their exams, whether it is an entrance examination, GCSE or A-level.
