We have been working with David for the past four months for 11+ English and Verbal Reasoning tuition for our daughter, who is currently in Year 5 and we have been very pleased with the support he has provided. David has excellent subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the 11+ exam style and expectations. He explains the different question types very well and focuses on teaching the techniques and methods needed to approach them, including how to tackle unfamiliar vocabulary and more challenging comprehension questions, rather than just completing practice papers. He sets regular homework and provides helpful feedback, which allows us as parents to understand the areas our daughter needs to focus on. We have noticed a real improvement in her confidence and in the way she approaches questions. David is patient and encouraging with our daughter, while also keeping her focused and disciplined during lessons. He is always punctual, reliable and present for every session. Overall, we would highly recommend David to any parent looking for a knowledgeable, organised and supportive 11+ tutor.
