About
I am a passionate and experienced Mathematics tutor with over 9 years of teaching and tutoring experience, working with learners from primary school to adult education across various exam boards and specifications. Holding a Mathematics degree and a PGCE in Mathematics (11-18), along with classroom experience in primary, secondary, and sixth-form settings, I am dedicated to supporting and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. I tailor my approach to each student’s unique learning style, focusing on building a strong foundation for younger learners and refining exam techniques for older students. My goal is to boost confidence and understanding in Mathematics, helping students overcome challenges and succeed in their studies.

If you are looking for the BEST maths tutor for your child/teenager - LOOK NO FURTHER! I cannot say loudly enough how AMAZING this tutor is. Steph has just given our daughter, Cos, her last lessons before the maths GCSE exams and we are so grateful for all her support, commitment, empathy and consistency in her excellent teaching over the last year. She never fails to mark work and report feed-back the next day and is always flexible if changes in lesson timings are needed. Cos has loved her lessons with Steph and has grown in confidence and learned techniques and skills that we never thought she would conquer. Steph is always kind, approachable and patient when explaining topics (many times in some cases!) but has always managed to keep the lessons light-hearted and never boring. Cos keeps saying how much she will miss her weekly slot with Steph - she has been a joy to deal with. THANK YOU STEPH! Steph has been teaching our daughter in preparation for her Maths GCSE next summer. As she is in Year 11, time is short and she needs to get through a huge amount of catch-up post covid etc. Steph has been brilliant at quickly putting Cos at ease, while getting on with finding the topics she finds tricky, building her confidence and making the lessons lively and instructive. I always receive an email the next day giving me helpful feedback , she sets and marks homework promptly and has been flexible and helpful with lesson time changes where necessary. A first class tutor!

Absolutely cannot recommend Stephanie highly enough. My daughter has never been a maths fan,but Stephanie made the tutor sessions so comfortable for her,my daughter never moaned about having to do the lessons. Anyway,she passed her GCSE maths! Stephanie is an absolute gem,you need to book her up as soon as you can!!

My daughter was quite reluctant to have maths tutor for her gcse exams. She was worried and concerned about being put on the spot and ‘going blank’ when asked direct questions. She lacked terribly in confidence and felt she was useless in Maths. She eventually reluctantly agreed but didn’t want to work remotely, so finding the ‘right’ tutor for her was essential for it to be a positive experience. From the start of contact I felt Stephanie would be just right for my daughter and I wasn’t wrong. Stephanie is 100% reliable, professional, punctual, knowledgeable and courteous. Most importantly she is friendly, encouraging, positive, rewarding and an all round lovely lady. My daughter achieved two grade boundaries over what we hoped for her and I truly believe this would not have been possible without Stephanie’s wonderful ways and brilliant tutorship. Stephanie is an exemplar tutor who excels in all aspects of teaching, as she is approachable, extremely accessible, punctual, and genuinely invested in the improvement of her tutees. Out of all the tutors I have ever had she is the most cheerful and enthusiastic in composure, making learning a joy whilst bolstering my mathematical ability. Furthermore, her explanations are clear and succinct, with questions being welcomed wholly. Additionally, her communication skills are excellent, both with tutees and parents, as she sends a report of the tutee's progress to the parents after every lesson.
