With over 16 years of teaching experience, including leadership roles as Head of Department in both mainstream and specialist SEND settings, I provide expert one-to-one maths tuition tailored to the unique needs of every learner. I am also an examiner for a leading exam board, giving me valuable insight into exam expectations, marking criteria, and the skills students need to achieve success.

I have extensive experience supporting learners with SEND, ASD, ADHD, anxiety, low confidence, gaps in learning, and those who may have struggled within traditional classroom environments. My calm, patient, and highly personalised approach helps students feel comfortable, understood, and capable — often transforming both their confidence and their attitude towards maths.

One of the most rewarding parts of my role is helping students move from a defeatist “I can’t do this” mindset to achieving qualifications they once believed were out of reach. I have worked with many learners who started tuition lacking confidence not only in maths, but in themselves. Through building trust, breaking learning down into manageable steps, and celebrating progress, I help students develop resilience, self-belief, and an “I can” attitude that extends far beyond the classroom.

I specialise in helping learners build genuine understanding rather than simply memorising methods. Lessons are carefully adapted to suit each individual’s learning style, pace, and needs, ensuring sessions are engaging, accessible, and effective.

I offer tuition across Primary, Secondary, SATs, 11+, GCSE/iGCSE, Functional Skills, homeschooling, alternative provision, and EOTAS. Alongside my tutoring experience, my background as both a classroom teacher and senior leader means I bring a deep understanding of the curriculum, exam preparation, and the barriers many students face in education.
