Hifas M.

Who am I?

I am a fully qualified mathematics teacher with over 15 years of private tutoring experience and classroom teaching. I specialise in GCSE and A level Maths and Further Maths including the pure, stats and mechanics modules.

Teaching Experience

I have logged over 10,000 hours of private one-to-one tutoring. Over the last 15 years I have taught in various educational settings including schools, sixth form colleges, FE colleges and universities. I currently work full time as a private tutor.

I have helped students prepare for all UK exam boards (Edexcel, AQA, OCR A, OCR MEI), International Baccalaureate (IB), European Baccalaureate (EB), International A Level (IAL) and entrance exams.

Tutoring Approach

Effective tutoring goes beyond simply explaining how to answer a question. I aim to help students gain a deep understanding of the underlying concepts and build their confidence in maths no matter their current level.

I am a patient and approachable tutor. I believe that building a good rapport between tutor and student is essential for effective learning. When students feel comfortable they are more likely to ask questions and fully engage with the tutor.

I set and mark homework after each session to ensure that students practice what they've covered each week.
