Marco has been teaching guitar for over 38 years in different countries with different mentalities, customs, cultures and approaches, but nevertheless one thing links them all: the love for music in all its aspects. As a musician he finds that music beautifully represents the real international language that is able to bring together all people to a higher level of conscience in the most natural and delightful way.

Marco’s teaching method and approach includes:

-Learning to read music notes and understanding tablature

-Finger picking technique is one of the best ways to learn the guitar. It enables you to play a wide range of music styles, both on an acoustic guitar or classical guitar and even on the electric guitar

-Learning to use the pick in an effective way

-Understanding music notation and how to interpret it

-Improvisation using different types of scales, create solos and much more

-The importance of mixing personal interpretation with technique

-Learning to sing and play at the same time for those who love singing

-Marco can prepare students for examinations from grade 1 to 8 with ABRSM, LCM or Trinity.

Marco’s musical education began under the careful guidance of guitarist/composer/performer John Perrone at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto (Canada).

Years later he studied in Rome (Italy) with guitarist/composer/performer Mario Gangi.

He also attended various master classes mainly in Italy and also some in Canada.

Marco has composed a large number of original music ranging from classical guitar to rock music and film scores. Many scores are presently available through Bergman Edition as well as ArrangeMe (Hal Leonard Company).

Marco recorded several original works (CD’s) with progressive rock band Exogen (Mind Directions, Unconditional, Ajar). With Exogen he was also the main vocalist.

He has also recorded film soundtracks in collaboration with other musicians that are collected in a CD by the name of “Notte negli Occhi”.

For solo classical guitar Marco recorded “Classical Guitar” and “Preludes of Rome”. At the moment Marco is currently working on some new original works for classical guitar entitled “Nocturnes”.

Marco has toured Italy with Exogen and performed both as solo guitarist and with ensemble in UK, Italy and Canada.

At present Marco is also a member of guitar Master Classes in Rome Italy
