¡Hola! I'm Carolina, a native Spanish speaker with twelve years of private tutoring experience. I specialise in KS3, GCSE and A-level Spanish, with extensive experience across AQA, Pearson Edexcel and Eduqas/WJEC. I hold a degree in Modern Languages from the Open University and an Enhanced DBS check.

My lessons combine clear guidance, patience and a flexible approach. I take time to understand each student's strengths, difficulties and goals, then adapt the pace and activities to help them progress. Students are encouraged to ask questions, practise speaking and learn from mistakes in a supportive environment.

For GCSE, I help students strengthen grammar and vocabulary, develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, and improve exam technique through focused practice. Whether the aim is to catch up, secure a target grade or achieve higher marks, lessons address the areas where support will make the greatest difference.

At A-level, I support advanced language skills, translation, essay writing, speaking and preparation for the Individual Research Project (IRP). I also help students analyse their school's chosen films and literary texts, developing their understanding of themes, characters and cultural context alongside well-supported arguments.

I welcome adult learners at all levels, with lessons for conversation, travel, work or more structured language development. Advanced and university-level learners can also explore Spanish and Latin American literature and film through discussion and analysis.

Having lived in the UK for over twenty years and studied other languages myself, I understand the challenges of learning and the satisfaction of becoming more confident. Whatever your starting point, my aim is to help you make steady progress and enjoy using Spanish.
