I’m an experienced Science teacher and online tutor with over 13 years in secondary education, including six years as a Director of Science. I specialise in A Level Biology, GCSE Science (Combined and Triple) and KS3 Science, and I also work as an examiner for AQA and WJEC Eduqas.

My teaching is highly personalised. I start by identifying a student’s current understanding, confidence, misconceptions and goals, then adapt lessons to make sure they are working at the right level of challenge. I use clear explanations, diagrams, modelling, retrieval practice and exam-style questions to build both subject knowledge and confidence.

One of my main strengths is helping students understand not just the science, but how to apply it effectively in assessments. My examiner experience gives me a strong insight into mark schemes, assessment objectives, common mistakes and the level of detail needed for high-scoring answers.

I have experience teaching students with a wide range of abilities and confidence levels, from those who need help rebuilding core knowledge to ambitious students aiming for top grades. I aim to create lessons that are supportive, focused and engaging, while also helping students become more independent over time.

I also design digital Biology courses and revision resources, so I am very comfortable teaching online and making complex ideas clear in a structured, accessible way.
