About

I am a full-time tutor with over ten years of teaching experience.

Academic background:

Sussex University - PhD Hirschfeld scholar; pass with minor corrections

Sussex University - 1st class honours MMath degree

I`ve spent 6 years working in the data tech industry. I applied math and technical skills to solve data problems and conduct technical training for work colleagues. I worked closely with data engineering technologies, including Python and SQL.

What to Expect From Lessons:

Lessons are delivered in 50-minute batches. They consist of breaking down complex theoretical concepts into simplified components, followed by examples and exam problems to solidify understanding of the topic. I encourage the students to explore the ideas themselves, with me prompting them rather than just writing out formulae (I view myself as a study aide). I focus on sharing deep mathematical insights with my students, a skill I refined as a PhD student.

I aim to make lessons interactive, supportive, collaborative, optimistic and goal-oriented.

I combine this with reinforcing their knowledge of theoretical concepts throughout the lesson.

Student Achievements:

Rapid Progress

Session Rules:

- 24 hours’ minimum notice is required to cancel or reschedule any lesson.

- Cancellations/reschedules made within 24 hours incur a 50% fee.

- No‑shows (failure to attend without notice) are charged the full session fee. I remain available for 15 minutes after the scheduled start time.

- Lessons requested to be reinstated after a cancellation are treated as new bookings and depend on availability.

- Any misunderstanding that arise regarding availability, the most recent written confirmation will be considered the official schedule.

- Regular time slots agreed to on a repeating basis are reserved for the student.

- Failure to attend or confirm a regular slot on two consecutive occasions without appropriate notice may result in the slot being released to another student.

- All materials or problem sets to be reviewed must be provided at least 24 hours before the session.

- Study topics to be covered must also be communicated at least 24 hours before the session.

- Homework is assigned according to observed learning needs and should be managed at the student’s own pace.

- If the homework list grows too large, part of session time may be dedicated to addressing it.

- My general working hours are between 8 am and 11 pm UK time everyday.

- Requests for one‑off sessions can be made up to two weeks in advance and are offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

- Holiday breaks are announced in advance. I will offer make‑up slots before or after any break for students who wish to compensate for missed time.

- For consistency, I will always reconfirm lesson dates following any holiday or scheduling period.

- I aim for full transparency in scheduling. Written confirmation of session times will always take precedence over verbal assumptions. If either side needs to verify a schedule, the written record will be the reference.

- Lesson requests are not secured until payment has been completed and acknowledged by the agency system. Unpaid or pending bookings will not be reserved in my diary and may be offered to other students.

I also deliver group lessons. Please enquire if interested.
