Dr Alison

Dr Alison is an experienced Chemistry tutor with 20 years of teaching and tutoring expertise helping students build confidence and pass exams. With a PhD in chemistry, school teacher, teacher trainer and experience as Head of Education in a busy UK university, she has worked extensively with diverse learners in the UK education system.

Alison provides structured, high-impact support through 1:1 sessions, group programmes and revision workshops, specialising in UK curricula including GCSE, iGCSE, IB and Scottish National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.

Alison has designed a study support system designed to help examination students thrive academically. In her holistic approach, students attend one or two focused sessions each week followed by daily facilitated revision sessions, where they may revisit the work covered. This research-informed approach is included in the published fees and increases retention and student success.

With a reputation for rigour, encouragement and structure, Alison combines deep subject expertise with a student-focused, data informed approach.
