I am a highly experienced tutor and academic with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University and currently serve as a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham. I also hold a Master’s degree from KU Leuven (Belgium) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UET Lahore, one of the leading engineering institutions in Pakistan.
With over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I bring a strong combination of academic expertise and practical teaching skills. My career includes roles as Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Lecturer, where I taught a wide range of engineering subjects, supervised research projects, and supported students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This extensive background allows me to explain complex ideas with clarity and adapt my teaching approach to suit each student’s needs.
Alongside my academic career, I have successfully tutored more than 60 students across the UK, covering GCSE, A-Level, and university-level study. I specialise in Maths, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering, and I have a strong track record of helping students improve their grades, build confidence, and develop a deep understanding of the subject.
For GCSE and A-Level students, I provide structured, exam-focused support tailored to all major exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and Cambridge International. My lessons focus on building strong foundations, improving problem-solving skills, and mastering exam techniques such as answering questions effectively, managing time, and understanding mark schemes. Many of my students have improved by multiple grades and gone on to pursue STEM degrees at university.
For engineering students, I offer specialised support in subjects such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and engineering mathematics. I help students not only solve problems but also understand the real-world applications of engineering principles, which is essential for long-term success.
My teaching style is student-centred, supportive, and highly adaptable. I create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and engaging with challenging material. I believe in focusing on the “why” behind concepts, helping students think independently and retain knowledge for the long term rather than relying on memorisation.
I have been teaching online since 2016 and use a range of digital tools to ensure my lessons are interactive, clear, and engaging. I also offer flexible scheduling, including additional support during exam periods when students need it most.
