About
I am an experienced physics, mathematics and engineering teacher delivering to KS3, KS4, KS5 and FE students who are studying at GCSE, IGCSE, BTEC or GCE A levels.
I have 33 years of teaching experience in secondary school, sixth form, and in private tuition.
I have been online tutor since 2020 in Physics, Maths, Science and Electronics.
My qualifications include PGCE Physics Secondary teaching 1993.
My approach: Reinforce learning concepts with which students have difficulties (e.g. algebra).
Provide students with further learning materials, homework and feedback on their progress.
Train students in examination technique with past exam paper questions.
Advise students on further studies or higher education university courses involving physics, mathematics and engineering.

Gary has been an incredible help to our daughter as she prepares for her GCSEs this summer. We hired Gary with just three weeks to go before her mocks began and his magic seems to have worked because even her teacher was amazed at her mock GCSE result for Physics! Gary has been brilliant with our son leading up to his GCSE's. His teaching style, patience and clear understanding of a pupils needs are paramount in order for a student to reach their full potential and these attributes are exactly what Gary has. He is extremely punctual and so reliable. He is an experienced teacher in both Maths and Physics which are the two topics our son needs support with. We have been extremely happy with the progress our son has made so far along with the confidence he appears to have gained since his tutoring started. Furthermore, we are confident he will do exceptionally well during his GCSE exams in a few months time thanks to the support and teaching he has received from Gary. Our son is at a highly academic school, which can feel overwhelming at times but with Gary's brilliant approach it appears he is on track to achieve his full potential. Gary is a very kind and calm person, excellent tutor. Always on time for the lessons and very keen to accomodate the time schedule requirements of my kids. Both my daughter and my son did physics with him. My son was far behind when Gary started with him and in less than a year he managed to get the required A level grade for his uni course. With my daughter they worked together for her GCSE exams and she managed the A*. I would highly recommend Gary.

I really would highly recommend Gary for anyone studying Physics at A Level. His enthusiasm for the subject impresses me no end, and his dedication and commitment to his students knows no limits. My son really struggled with Physics at this level, being such a great leap from GCSE level, but with Gary's help he has hugely improved in the subject and actually looks forward to his final result next week! The added bonus for us was that Gary is also able to assist with A Level Maths!! What more can I say? Thank you Gary. You are a star!!!

Gary has been a fantastic tutor for our two sons in the months leading up to their exams (one doing A-level Physics, and one doing GCSE Physics). He has helped them both hugely, by very clearly explaining/teaching concepts they found hard and also by showing them how to approach the exam questions. Both our sons found his lessons really engaging, clear and useful and gained a lot of confidence in Physics thanks to him. He was unfailingly reliable, friendly, encouraging, well organised and committed to doing his utmost to help and we would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone needing help with Physics.
