I am a confident, organised, and dedicated Mathematics Teacher, Tutor, and GCSE Examiner with a strong passion for helping students achieve their full potential. My excellent communication skills allow me to build positive relationships with students and create a supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their mathematical ability.

I am an experienced Mathematics Teacher with a genuine drive to see students excel, whether they require support in understanding difficult mathematical concepts, improving exam performance, or developing effective study skills. My adaptable and student-focused teaching style enables me to tailor lessons to each individual’s learning needs and preferred learning style.

Tutoring Experience

As both a Mathematics Teacher and Tutor, I understand that many students can find the classroom environment challenging. One-to-one tuition provides students with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts that may not always be fully addressed in a larger classroom setting.

After obtaining my PGCE in Mathematics from King's College London, I developed a strong understanding of Mathematics pedagogy and effective teaching strategies. I am also an examiner, which gives me valuable insight into exam board expectations, mark schemes, and the common misconceptions students face in examinations.

In addition, I have experience marking GCSE examination papers, enabling me to identify areas where students commonly lose marks and helping them improve both their mathematical understanding and exam technique.

Since completing my PGCE, I have had the privilege of working in schools graded as “Outstanding”, where I have continued to refine my teaching practice and support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes.

Tutoring Approach

I create a personalised, student-centred learning programme for each student, designed around their individual goals, strengths, and areas for development. Lessons are structured through tailored Individualised Lesson Plans to ensure consistent progress and measurable improvement.

I provide Maths tuition to:

• Improve Maths grades for students who need additional support

• Simplify complex mathematical concepts and strengthen exam techniques

• Develop problem-solving skills and mathematical confidence

• Support students in tackling challenging mathematical questions through guidance and mentoring

• Build strong study habits and independent learning skills

I am a flexible tutor and am available for lessons throughout the week, including weekends.
