I am a passionate Science and Maths Tutor who inspires confidence and a 'can do' attitude in each student. My love of learning led me to a career in Education, with the aim of passing on that love of learning to others and engendering an appreciation of the world around us. My many years of experience has resulted in a track record of success in supporting GCSE students to achieve Grade 9s in maths and science subjects; in helping borderline GCSE students to get their grade; and in helping 11+ students to achieve their dream of grammar school.

I taught science and maths in secondary schools in Essex and Suffolk between 2008 and 2019. I also became an examiner for the OCR exam board and was a teacher on the Teacher Advisory Panel at The Royal Observatory at Greenwich. I have over ten years experience as a private tutor, both face-to-face and online. More recently, I was involved in the National Tutoring Programme until it ended in August 2024. My curiosity and ongoing interest in Education means I enjoy staying up-to-date with syllabus changes, so that I can both help children 'learn to learn' as well as achieving their current goal, whatever the exam and whatever the level.
