I am an experienced mathematics tutor and incoming Mathematics PGCE trainee at King's College London, with several years of experience supporting students from Key Stage 3 through to A-levels. Alongside my tutoring work, I hold a BSc in Computer Science at King's College London and have developed strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills through both academic study and professional experience.

Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of students, including those who lack confidence in mathematics, students preparing for GCSE examinations, and learners aiming to achieve the highest grades. My tutoring focuses on building a deep understanding of mathematical concepts rather than relying solely on memorisation, helping students develop the confidence to tackle unfamiliar problems independently.

I understand that mathematics can feel challenging or overwhelming for many students. For this reason, I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through mistakes. I believe that confidence and understanding go hand in hand, and I aim to help students develop both through clear explanations, guided practice and regular feedback.

My experience includes delivering one-to-one tuition, supporting students through exam preparation, and helping learners strengthen foundational skills in mathematics. I regularly use exam-style questions, worked examples and targeted practice to identify knowledge gaps and improve performance.

Having successfully tutored students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations, I understand the importance of exam technique as well as subject knowledge. I help students develop effective problem-solving strategies, improve their mathematical reasoning and build confidence under exam conditions.

Lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, whether the goal is catching up on missed content, improving confidence, preparing for upcoming exams or striving for top grades. I am patient, approachable and committed to helping students achieve their academic potential while developing a more positive relationship with mathematics.
