I am a qualified native teacher of French and Spanish. My PGCE has enabled me to work in various secondary schools and colleges in the UK.

I am flexible, generous with my time, very responsive and genuinely care about positive outcome for all students.

I am highly experienced in various exams boards: AQA/ Edexcel/ CIE (GCSE IGCSE, A level), 13+ Common Entrance (ISEB) and scholarship (Harrow, Winchester, Radley)

I have a life long interest in linguistics and studied this in depth as part of my English and Spanish degree at the university of Poitiers, as well as the Diploma in Translation.

During my lessons, I focus on speaking in order to quickly improve Listening and Oral skills. Taking into account the student’s style of learning is also a very effective way to make progress. I am often told that am kind and patient- I do believe these are necessary qualities as a tutor to create a trusting relationship with a young person. Progress will happen quickly as I know how to apply recognized teaching methods.

I have a particular interest in grammar and ensure that clear and simplified explanations are followed by achievable independent practice.

After the lesson, I send the main exercise(s) completed by the student alongside useful annotations, which are useful for exam revision.

This is accompanied by a personalised report sent after each class to the parents/student, including homework to consolidate any area highlighted during the lesson. This is very much appreciated by both parents and students, as it gives them useful insight information about how the lesson went and creates a thread between lessons.

In addition, I teach overseas students online (East Asia) to prepare them in advance for UK entry level tests/ achieve minimum required level in language proficiency or students attending international schools overseas who are sitting IGCSE following the British Curriculum.

I also have extensive experience and proven track record of preparing students as External Candidates- This sometimes happens due to clash in timetable. Please contact me to discuss this option, I am committed to the success of my students.
