I am an experienced mathematician with an academic background in maths and statistics, holding both a Mathematics degree and a Master's in Medical Statistics. Currently, I work as an analyst within the UK Government, where I use mathematics, statistics and data analysis every day to help inform policy decisions and solve real-world problems.

My approach to tutoring is practical, engaging, and tailored to each student. One of the most common questions students ask is, "When will I ever use this?" I believe mathematics becomes much easier when its value can be seen in everyday life. Whether we're exploring percentages through personal finance, statistics through sport, or algebra through real-world problem solving, I aim to make maths concepts tangible and relevant.

I focus on building confidence as well as technical ability. Rather than relying solely on memorisation, I help students develop a deeper understanding of the underlying principles, enabling them to tackle unfamiliar problems independently. My lessons combine clear explanations, worked examples and plenty of practice, adapted to each student's learning style and goals.
