Hi, I'm Karim. I'm a working composer, pianist and music editor, and I teach music production, composition and creative piano from real professional practice, not theory alone.

I hold a Master's in Composition for Screen from the Royal College of Music in London, and I work daily in professional screen-music production, including as a music editor on a primetime BBC television drama.

I teach you to write and produce great music on your computer, and especially the big, cinematic kind. You'll learn to use orchestra, piano, hybrid electronic sounds, voices and percussion to create a specific mood: music that could sit under a film, a game, a trailer, or simply music you're proud of. Along the way you'll learn Cubase and the production side properly, because that's how an idea becomes a finished track that actually sounds good.

I also teach piano, but not the rigid, exam-grade way. I use the piano as a creative tool: you'll understand chords and harmony so you can play the songs you love, improvise freely, and write your own music. If you've always wanted to sit at a piano and just play, rather than read your way through grades, this is for you.

I work at your pace and build lessons around what you actually want to make. Whether you're starting from zero or already producing and want to get sharper, I'll meet you where you are. Lessons are practical, and you leave each one able to do something you couldn't before.
