I’m Sian, a qualified Science teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching in UK and international schools. For the past two years, I’ve specialised in high‑impact tutoring, helping students build confidence, close gaps, and achieve strong results in GCSE Science and A‑Level Biology.

During the school day, I work with young people who are currently unable to access mainstream education. This means I am highly experienced in supporting learners with barriers to learning — including anxiety, low confidence, SEND needs, gaps in prior knowledge, or disrupted schooling. I know how to create a calm, structured environment where students feel safe, understood, and able to make steady progress.

Alongside teaching, I have also worked as an awarding‑body examiner, giving me first‑hand insight into how mark schemes are applied and what examiners look for. This allows me to teach students exactly how to structure their answers, avoid common mistakes, and gain marks more consistently.

My tutoring approach is calm, clear, and highly personalised. I focus on:

• Building exam technique and confidence

I offer both one‑to‑one sessions and small group classes, depending on what best suits the learner.
