Hello! My name is Kiran and I am a third-year Medical Student tutoring in GCSE Sciences. I take a highly personalised approach tailored to each individual student, with a focus on making lessons fun and engaging — as I believe that is the best way to learn. I am patient, friendly, and approachable, and I am committed to helping every student reach their potential.

When did you first start tutoring?

I first started tutoring shortly after completing my A-Levels. Having had several tutors of my own, I was often unsatisfied with the way topics were taught — lessons felt disjointed, and I frequently found myself lost and confused. I was determined to do things differently: to make lessons engaging and systematic, building confidence on top of a well-established foundation, with any misconceptions addressed immediately.

What do you specialise in?

I specialise in GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Combined Science. I make sure to focus on exam technique just as much as content knowledge, as this is where students most commonly fall short.

What is your teaching style?

My teaching style is interactive and delivered in real time on a virtual whiteboard — so there are no boring lecture slides to sit through. I incorporate exam practice and technique throughout every lesson, alongside useful tips and advice, ensuring students feel prepared for all aspects of their papers.

How do your lessons usually pan out?

I like to cover content first and then consolidate with exam questions. Doing so allows me to not only help the student build their exam technique but also allows me to see where they may have any weaknesses in their knowledge!
