About Me

I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic Science teacher.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught the Sciences for over 26 years and currently teach in a non-selective state school with one of the best GCSE results in the area. Previously, I worked in a highly successful department at a senior independent school. My students have consistently achieved excellent grades at all levels. I also have an in-depth knowledge of all examination boards through my additional work as a tutor on Easter revision courses.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I have also delivered highly successful online lessons, enabling me to support students from across the UK. Online tutoring has proved to be an effective and flexible way of helping students achieve their goals, making distance no barrier to accessing high-quality tuition.

Tutoring Approach

I am a friendly, supportive, and approachable tutor who encourages students to achieve their full potential. I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student's individual needs, providing a structured framework that builds confidence, strengthens understanding, and helps students achieve their academic goals. Whether lessons are delivered in person or online, I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and develop a deeper understanding of the Sciences.
