I am a qualified Maths teacher with over 15 years of tutoring experience and 13 years of experience teaching Year 11 students through their GCSE preparation. I tutor Maths and Statistics at KS3 and KS4, supporting students across a wide range of abilities, from those working towards a grade 9 to those aiming to secure the grade 4 or 5 they need for their next steps.

I particularly enjoy helping students build confidence and experience those ‘ah-ha’ moments when a topic finally clicks. I am calm, caring and patient, and I believe students make the best progress when they feel supported and encouraged to challenge themselves.

I adapt my teaching to the individual student, using different explanations, examples and approaches to find what works best for them. My lessons are structured around effective teaching and learning principles, building knowledge gradually through modelling and questioning before giving students opportunities to practise independently.

I have extensive experience teaching both the AQA and Edexcel Maths specifications, as well as Edexcel Statistics. Alongside classroom teaching and tutoring, I have held leadership roles in schools, giving me experience in curriculum design and developing effective teaching practice.

My aim is not only to help students improve their Maths, but to help them understand what they are doing, become more confident and develop the skills they need to succeed independently.
