I’m an experienced teacher, tutor and examiner with over 15 years of experience in education, specialising in Psychology, Sociology and English Language across GCSE, A Level and IB programmes.

My teaching background includes working in British and international schools in the UK and Europe, including as Head of Psychology and as an IB Psychology teacher. I have also worked as an IB Psychology examiner and as an examiner for A Level and GCSE qualifications, giving me a detailed understanding of what examiners are looking for and, importantly, what separates a good answer from an excellent one.

My tutoring is very much student-centred and tailored to the individual. I don’t believe in simply working through a textbook or giving students more worksheets. I focus on identifying exactly where a student is struggling, building the missing foundations and then giving them the tools to become more confident and independent.

For exam subjects, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, assessment objectives, essay structure, application, evaluation and understanding mark schemes. I teach students how to actually use their knowledge in an exam, rather than simply memorising content.
