I am an experienced Mathematics teacher with over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience, working across schools in Wolverhampton, Telford, Walsall and Dudley. I have taught GCSE Mathematics, Functional Skills, resit Maths, 11+, and primary English and Maths, giving me a broad understanding of learner needs across age groups and abilities.

I have served as both Head of Mathematics and Assistant Headteacher, leading a core subject and supporting whole‑school improvement. I am fully familiar with the Edexcel, AQA, and OCR exam boards, and I attend regular exam board meetings, ensuring I remain up to date with all specification changes and assessment requirements.

Having worked with lots of students over the years, I have developed a highly adaptable teaching style that responds to individual needs. I understand that every learner is different, and I take time to identify how each student learns best, whether they need confidence‑building, targeted intervention or stretch and challenge.

My lessons are structured, clear and focused on building strong foundations, improving problem‑solving skills and developing effective exam technique. I place particular emphasis on preparation and practice, using past papers, model answers and recurring question types to help students understand how marks are awarded and how to approach unfamiliar problems with confidence.
