About
I have been tutoring maths and physics for over 20 years. I specialise in A level physics but also teach A level Maths and Gcse in each subject. I prefer to teach online as I find it the most effective method.
In terms of exam boards my main specialism is AQA A level physics where I am able to teach all of the option papers eg Turning Points and also of course their Paper 3 practical.
My approach is to build lessons around the very latest past paper questions pertinent to the requirements of each student.
I offer support to each student outside tutoring sessions by answering any questions they may have. There is no charge for this.
I focus on teaching fundamentals based around the types of exam question students can expect.
I also concentrate on the best strategies that students should use to do well in their exams. This type of approach cannot be effectively duplicated using AI as it requries knowledge of individual students specific abilities.
I have a BSc in Engineering and BA in Mathematics. Both of these courses having a high level of physics content. I am also a member of The Institution of Electrical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer.

Peter was really helpful and flexible and our son Daniel enjoyed his lessons right from the start. I have have just finished sitting my A level physics exams this year and I was really struggling in year 12, Peter is an amazing tutor and even that is an understatement, he is dedicated and extremely supportive even outside lesson time, for instance he always answers any question I have no matter the difficulty from quick multiple choice question to confusing calculations and always responds quickly providing me with a detailed and clear method/ explanation, It is really rare to see a teacher so incredibly dedicated to his students as Peter is and I’m so glad I found him, thank you so much!!

Peter is an amazing tutor, he goes through the exam papers and provides extensive information behind the theories so you can revise/understand the topics within that question. It’s helped me a lot when attempting other past papers!
