I am an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher with over twenty two years of experience across both primary and secondary education. I hold a degree in English and specialise in the subject, offering tailored support for students preparing for GCSE English, including focused exam techniques and strategies to boost confidence and performance.

I am known for my calm and gentle manner, which helps put students at ease and creates a positive, supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable to ask questions and build confidence.

Currently, I work as a private tutor, supporting children aged 5–15 across a range of subjects, as well as preparing pupils for 11+ entrance exams. I am passionate about tutoring and take pride in building strong relationships with my students, helping to develop their confidence, identify and address gaps in their learning, and stretch them to achieve their full potential. My students consistently make significant progress.

In addition to tutoring, I work as a supply teacher across all year groups and teach at an 11+ tuition centre. Previously, I spent eleven years teaching in a junior school, gaining extensive experience in Years 3, 4, 5, and 6. My teaching has consistently been graded as Good, with elements of Outstanding.

I offer engaging, supportive, and personalised lessons, along with practical exam tips and strategies, particularly for GCSE English, to help students feel confident and fully prepared.
