Rebecca R.

With over 18 years of experience, I am a highly skilled English teacher working across secondary, middle, SEN, and SEMH schools in Berkshire, West Berkshire, Wiltshire, and Oxfordshire.

Having worked as a specialist SEN teacher for the last three years, I am an adaptive, empathetic educator. I understand that many young people learn differently, requiring a highly considered, tailored approach. For me, compassion and understanding the "whole child" are essential to ensuring that all pupils feel valued and succeed to the best of their ability.

Although I am secondary trained, my significant experience in middle school settings gives me an in depth understanding of the KS2 to KS3 transition process and expectations. I possess comprehensive knowledge of KS2 SATs preparation, having successfully guided Year 6 pupils through these exams, alongside a strong command of the KS1 and KS2 curricula.

Additionally, as a former Head of English across several schools, I bring deep expertise and confidence in exam board requirements, specialising in preparing students for their GCSE English Language and English Literature exams.

Services and Approach:
I provide both online and face-to-face tutoring. For students who struggle in mainstream environments or who have SEN, I highly recommend in-person sessions where geography allows. I also offer a highly effective hybrid option (alternating online and in-person sessions), which allows me to accurately assess, bond with, and best support your child.

I look forward to working with you and helping your child thrive.
