I am an experienced and passionate teacher with over 13 years of teaching experience in the UK, currently offering both small group and one-to-one lessons at a reasonable cost. I am enhanced DBS qualified and have worked in some of the most reputable secondary schools in the UK.
I specialise in teaching the new 9-1 curriculum for GCSE and IGCSE (Edexcel, AQA, OCR, Eduqas) in Mathematics and Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). I aim to foster a deep understanding of the subjects, helping my students build both their scientific skills and confidence.
For the last five years, I have been teaching online using platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Meet successfully supporting students in achieving excellent results across a range of subjects and exam boards.

We are very grateful for the support and guidance in chemistry subject Year 10, that our son has received from Ritu. We are so happy and blessed to have her as a tutor for my son. We had different tutors before and there is a huge difference in comparing with others. She is so well prepared, so good teaching techniques and a very good teacher, that knows how to work with students. The tutor explains concepts clearly and patiently, making even difficult topics much easier to understand. Our son has become more confident in his chemistry studies and is now much more comfortable approaching challenging problems. Booked Ritu through first tutors to support my daughter, currently in year 8 and provide her with a strong foundation in maths and science. We are 3 weeks in and have found Ritu to be very flexible and responsive in communications. I was very happy that Ritu asked my daughter frequently whether she understands what she had just been taught. And whether she would like Ritu to repeat any explanation. Basically Ritu tested my daughter’s understanding to ensure my daughter was left clear about a learning point. Ritu is a very good and experienced tutor and was very prompt in responding to my enquiries. But kindly note she specialises in only Maths and science and not English. Hence we couldn't go ahead with her this time for the full 11+ exam curriculum.

My son has had tutor sessions with Ritu now for a couple of months. Due to my son moving school, there were gaps in his learning, which Ritu picked up on immediately. He is now in year 10 and to ensure he is working at a level to enable him to gain higher grades in all 3 sciences, Ritu has been going through content and pass papers with him every week. This has really helped my son because he feels more confident generally and his latest test marks at school have ranged from levels 7-9. Ritu has a lot of experience and knows exactly what it takes to help your child gain the best grades possible. I can highly recommend Ritu!

An excellent tutor for my daughter who is studying for 11+ exam. Ritu is very compassionate and friendly tutor.
