About
I am a dedicated and experienced Mathematics Teacher, Tutor, and GCSE Examiner with a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve their full potential in Maths. I create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing problem-solving skills, and improving their mathematical understanding.
My adaptable and student-focused teaching style allows me to tailor lessons to each student’s individual needs, whether they are aiming to improve grades, strengthen exam technique, or gain confidence with challenging topics.
Tutoring Experience
After completing my PGCE in Mathematics at King's College London, I have taught in “Outstanding” schools and supported students across a range of abilities and academic goals.
Alongside teaching, I work as a GCSE examiner and have experience marking examination papers, giving me valuable insight into exam board expectations, mark schemes, and the common mistakes students make. This enables me to help students improve both their mathematical understanding and exam performance effectively.
I understand that many students benefit from the personalised support that one-to-one tuition provides, allowing lessons to focus on areas that may be difficult to address fully in a classroom environment.

We have had 3 lessons with Roshni. She is very amiable and courteous . She is able to explain concepts to my daughter by gauging her level of understanding of the topic and adapting her style . My daughter appreciates the lessons and looks forward to them. The lessons reinforce the topics being covered in school and that provides the added confidence . We would like to , in future sessions, split time between doing current topics alongside challenging multi-step analytical word problems which often get asked in the school exams where the ability to apply multiple concepts in the same question gets tested . We appreciate the interest that Roshni takes to give the best outcomes and we look forward to the future sessions with her .

We were looking for a tutor to help our son on focus areas of his GCSE Maths. We had a 15 minute consultation with Roshni, who explained the areas she could help improve his marks on, as well as listening to his concerns and challenges. It only took Roshni a short while to decide on a plan to help improve his GCSE results. He has now had several on line lessons with Roshni, and the feedback from him after each tutorial has been very positive, with Roshni helping him dig into the problem learning areas and helping him work out techniques to reach the correct answers to questions. Our son looks positively to his sessions and Roshni is always planned and punctual with start times ensuring the maximum benefit from the allocated time.
