I taught Chemistry at a large Leicestershire 14-18 School for over 30 years. I was Head of Chemistry at this school for 20 years. I am now a full time Chemistry tutor and examiner. I teach and tutor all exam boards including AQA, EDEXCEL, OCR and OCR(Salters) A-Level Chemistry and AQA and OCR GCSE Chemistry and EDEXCEL IGCSE Chemistry. I have tutored students outside of school for over 35 years with much success.

Many of my A-level students have achieved 100% in A-level Chemistry modules and I have tutored many GCSE students who have achieved 100% in all their GCSE modules for GCSE Chemistry.

I am also a Principal Examiner for IGCSE Chemistry. I have marked both Foundation and Higher IGCSE Chemistry papers. I have been an Examiner for Singapore A-level Chemistry. Both these roles have helped me to recognise the difficulties that students have with both GCSE and A-level examination questions and the way to answer them successfully. I use this knowledge to the students advantage in my lessons. As well as being an examiner I set papers and multiple choice questions.

I tutor online using Zoom which works really well. I have had many students who have gone on to study medicine and other medical degrees.
