I started my tuition with Tatiana knowing almost no Russian, having only learnt some basic vocab and verb paradigms in my own time. Within 2 years, Tatiana was able to help me gain proficiency with Russian to the point that I have achieved an A* in A level Russian and subsequently received a place at Oxford university.
Tatiana is always eager to share a love of the Russian language and culture and has helped me with a broad range of topics and skills. She is very generous with timing, and genuinely committed to the success of her students.

Tatiana has been both thorough and understanding with supporting my son with his studies.

I had my first Russian lesson this morning with Tatiana. She was extremely helpful and provided me with excellent advice about my preparation for Russian A Level, as well as several useful worksheets to take home with me. It is my utmost pleasure and honour to write a letter of reference for Mrs Tatiana Robbins. Tatiana has taught Russian language to my son Luka during the 2014-15 academic year at the Saturday Russian School in Bristol. In the space of 6+ months my 5-year-old son made much progress in his reading and writing under Tatiana’s guidance. Tatiana has an amazing ability to know each child and their individual talents and weaknesses which makes it possible for her to approach individually and effectively. I am very thankful to her for developing Luka’s abilities and love for Russian language.
I am a Russian speaker myself and a linguist by training, but I cannot hope to match the speed, quality, and progress that Tatiana achieves in her lessons if I teach Luka on my own. Her attention to detail deserves special mention, which is especially important given a bilingual status of our children. We hope that Luka will be able to continue taking Tatiana’s lessons in the future, and that his sister joins him in a few years’ time. I recommend Tatiana wholeheartedly to those who are interested in the Russian language.

Tatiana is an excellent teacher, she is personable and professional at all times. Due to my work commitments I had to cancel or move some classes, this was no problem and Tatiana made time to help me fit the extra classes in.
Tatiana supplies her own study material from a number books, textbooks, to give me the best chance of success, homework is a pleasure!
I would recommend Tatiana in the highest sense, she also happily explains where the best places to go in Russia are as well as explaining the history of her nation so you can better understand the language.
