Yu-Jhen

Hello! I’m Yu-Jhen, a qualified violin and piano teacher based in Birmingham, offering private one-to-one lessons and piano accompaniment for exams from my home studio.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their age, personality and musical goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner, returning to music after a break, or preparing for ABRSM examinations, lessons are carefully planned to help you progress with confidence while enjoying the learning process.

My teaching focuses on developing strong foundations in technique, musical understanding and confident performance. Alongside exam preparation, I encourage students to explore a wide variety of repertoire and to develop independent practice skills that will benefit them long term.

I teach both children and adults, creating a relaxed, encouraging and structured learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and celebrating their achievements. I also host the concert for all my students regularly so everyone can have opportunities for playing in front of other people.
