About
I’m a Mathematics graduate with professional teaching training from university, and I’ve worked in both primary and secondary school settings. Alongside this, I have ten years’ experience tutoring GCSE and pre-GCSE Maths privately, working with students of all abilities — from those needing extra confidence and support to those aiming for the top grades.
I offer online 1-to-1 lessons and tailor every session to the student in front of me, drawing on my classroom experience and tutoring background to build genuine understanding rather than just exam technique. I’ve seen students transform their results within a year — including improvements from 30% to 90%, and from 20% to 60% — and my past students have gone on to secure places at Cambridge University and Haileybury College.
Over the years I’ve been lucky to work with wonderful families, many of whom have returned or recommended me to others.
I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate (child workforce, including Children’s Barred List check).

How we verify these
Each imported review went through admin review. The tutor proved ownership of the First Tutors profile via one of two paths:
- Photo match. The First Tutors avatar matched the tutor's identity-verified Tutorperch photo, confirmed by admin.
- Cryptographic email check. The tutor uploaded an original First Tutors email (.eml). We verified the DKIM signature against First Tutors' signing keys and cross-checked the embedded tutor ID against the claimed profile.
The review text is the original reviewer's own words, quoted as-is. We verified the tutor's ownership of the profile, not the truth of what each individual reviewer wrote.

I wanted a Maths Tutor who would tutor and inspire my daughter. Ayesha has been outstanding on both counts. Within 3 months, my daughter was in set 1 for Maths in her class, and it is now her favourite subject. It was an overall positive experience & I highly recommend her.

We can not recommend Ayesha enough. Her style of teaching is superb and she makes learning easy. She is passionate about her subject. My son was struggling at school due to a substitute teacher , he was starting to lose confidence in his ability. In just a few lessons she has managed to fill the gaps in his knowledge and he feels confident again. Her assessment of him was on point.

After three sessions I could tell my daughter had changed her attitude towards maths and she was feeling more confident. Ayesha is an understanding and personable tutor.

Our daughter was predicted a C at the very best and was not at all confident for her maths GCSE After a few months of weekly lessons with Ayesha I am very pleased to say she gained a B in GCSE maths and was delighted with her results. Our daughter said that Ayesha was a very good teacher, she was patient, friendly and well organised and taught maths in an understandable way.We would recommend Ayesha to others who find maths difficult. We found her to be professional flexible and a very nice person. She clearly has excellent knowledge of the subject and what is needed to do well in the exam. Monica and Charles O'Carroll
