About

I have been teaching and specialising in A level Maths and Further Maths for 16 years, teaching over 3000 students, in an OUTSTANDING sixth form college.

With regards to Further Maths, I am confident in teaching Core pure 1 & 2, FS1, FS2, FM1, FP1. I am also an examiner for Edexcel/Pearson.

I have a wide range of resources available, including access to the latest exam questions by topic, PowerPoints and mock papers.

I believe it’s important for students to develop deep understanding of the topics rather than just learning the steps, so that they can approach unfamiliar questions with more confidence. It’s also important to practice and test yourself using a variety of EXAM QUESTIONS.

Note: I cannot accept students from the college that I teach at due to school policy.

Imported from Anish V.'s First Tutors profile before the site went dark. Shown separately from Tutorperch reviews — today they don't feed this tutor's Tutorperch rating or ranking.

How we verify these

Each imported review went through admin review. The tutor proved ownership of the First Tutors profile via one of two paths:

  • Photo match. The First Tutors avatar matched the tutor's identity-verified Tutorperch photo, confirmed by admin.
  • Cryptographic email check. The tutor uploaded an original First Tutors email (.eml). We verified the DKIM signature against First Tutors' signing keys and cross-checked the embedded tutor ID against the claimed profile.

The review text is the original reviewer's own words, quoted as-is. We verified the tutor's ownership of the profile, not the truth of what each individual reviewer wrote.

Anish has been very patient and helped my son understand his topics in greater depth, correcting any misconceptions. He focused on the areas that he needed help with and worked collaboratively. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a tutor. I feel he is more suited towards A-level tuition and l needed a GCSE focused approach. My son benefitted from a calm and ordered working environment. Many thanks from both of us.

Zak is very comfortable with you which is important. This has made it easier for him to focus on his studies as this is one of his major short falls. Zak needs to be kept on a short leash and therefore giving him work to do and checking his notes is necessary in his case. Zak is encouraged by you which is good.
