Food Technology tutors

Food Technology has been restructured over recent specifications: the main current routes are GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition (AQA, Edexcel, Eduqas, OCR) and BTEC/Cambridge Technical Hospitality and Catering. Content covers nutrition, food science, food provenance, preparation skills and the NEA: a food investigation task and a food preparation task. Tutoring helps most on the science content (where the chemistry of cooking catches students out), on NEA write-up structure, and on exam technique for the longer evaluation questions. Look for tutors with food-science or hospitality backgrounds and explicit familiarity with the specific spec.
