Romanian is offered at GCSE (AQA), and the cohort is overwhelmingly heritage speakers: children of post-2007 Romanian and Moldovan migrants consolidating their formal written Romanian for an extra qualification. Tutoring needs reflect that: oral fluency is rarely the issue; spelling, formal register, grammar precision (cases, verb conjugation, articles), and exam-paper technique are.
