Liz stepped in at the last minute to give my anxious year 12 a pre-exam session. He'd missed several weeks of lessons. One session that boosted his confidence, helped him organise his thoughts and calmed him enough to do well in the exam. It all felt a bit unorthodox because he wouldn't have his camera on but Liz wasn't fazed. He really liked her and we'll be back in touch to book more sessions next term, I am sure. Really grateful to her. He said it made such a difference. UPDATE: I've only realised today that I didn't actually post this from last year! He got an A in his exam, which astonished him. Liz has continued to tutor him periodically and has been brilliant. She's extremely warm and supportive and her communication with me as a parent is brilliant. (She's said some things that have calmed me too!) I highly recommend her!
