I believe the most important job of a tutor is to discourage the persistent little voice inside that says, “I can’t do it.” With the right support, all of us can achieve on our own terms.

I am a highly experienced English, History and Politics writing tutor, available for one-to-one tuition across most of London and online. I also have experience in Media Studies and creative writing.

I have worked as a private tutor since 2006. I specialise in building core language skills for research essays and exam questions. I place particular emphasis on specific techniques (analysing the question, planning the answer, providing strong evidence and using appropriate academic language, etc.) and work with students so that they can write clear, persuasive English and express themselves with confidence.

I have an enhanced DBS certificate and work with young people from all backgrounds, aged 13–18.

I also work as a screenwriter. My work has been nominated for a BAFTA and shortlisted for an Academy Award.
