Teaching background

In 2012, I graduated from MMU after studying Primary Education with QTS and left with first class hons.  Between 2012 & 2017, I taught Year 5 in an outstanding Manchester primary school before covering PPA across the school while I was pregnant.  When I became a mum, I decided to leave the classroom and I've been tutoring since April 2018.  I originally tutored in person but moved to online sessions during covid.

What are my favourite things to teach?

My favourite subject to teach is maths (both tricky new concepts and finding ways to build confidence and fluency) and I enjoy supporting children in the build up to the SATs.
Every child is on their own learning journey and I love to watch their confidence grow and fill gaps in their knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.
