Hi! I’m Sara, an experienced tutor and recent graduate of The University of Cambridge with a degree in English Literature. I have worked with students as young as Year 1 all the way up to university admission; I’ve helped students gain entry to some of the most competitive schools in the country, and to achieve top grades in their secondary school education. As well as these academic milestones, I also pride myself on the learning environment I foster for my students. I myself struggled to connect with curriculum material at school until I was lucky enough to have an amazing teacher that truly changed the trajectory of my studies and education - I strive to be that person for my students, and inspire a genuine passion for the subject, which in turn always elevates their academic performance. I of course also tailor a scheme of work to each student’s individual needs, getting to know their personal interests and supporting with problem areas in a 1-1 setting that can often be hard to achieve at school. I always strive to keep parents involved with regular reports, and am always happy to chat after lesson time.

- 11+ all subjects

- Primary English, maths and handwriting

- KS3 English language and Literature

- GCSE English language and Literature

Further detail on 11+: I have supported students applying for both consortium and non-consortium schools and across a range of school requirements, from adaptive testing to multiple choice to longer form written assessment; I have a detailed knowledge of different test requirements and a large bank of resource materials. I teach all 11+ subjects, as well as supporting with interview preparation and general confidence in self-presentation.
