Bansi Shah

I am an enthusiastic, patient, and experienced secondary School Science teacher, available for both online and face-to-face tuition. With over 16 years of Science teaching and tutoring experience. I have a proven track record of helping pupils improve their confidence, understanding, and exam performance in Science at KS3, 13+ and KS4.

I currently work as a Science teacher with an excellent success rate and extensive experience in teaching. I have taught pupils of different ages and abilities in inner/ outer London schools. I teach KS2, KS3, and KS4 Science, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics; with a particular focus on GCSE preparation and exam technique.

My lessons are interactive, engaging, and focused on ensuring pupils fully understand the scientific knowledge taught. Exam-style questions are incorporated into every lesson to monitor progress and reinforce key concepts and objectives; tailored to the syllabus the pupil is studying.

As a qualified Science teacher and experienced tutor, I provide tailored one-to-one support designed to meet each pupil’s individual learning needs and academic goals. I specialise in helping students boost their grades, develop confidence, and improve their exam-question skills through; structured lessons, targeted feedback, and regular practice using past exam papers. The most important aspect is that as a qualified teacher, I will be using the skills I use everyday in my job. This should be an important factor when choosing a tutor.

I hold a degree in Biomedical Science, a PGCE, and a Master’s in Teaching and Learning from the UCL Institute of Education. In addition, I am a qualified Biomedical Scientist with an IBMS certificate and have also studied and worked in Oxford.
