About
I am an extremely experienced and knowledgeable tutor of English Language and Literature. I have worked extensively with students at all levels, from those struggling with key concepts and skills to the highest levels of academic achievement. I have significant experience of working with young people with different learning styles and neurodivergent backgrounds. I strive to have an extremely individualised and inclusive approach to tutoring as well as offering a reassuring and friendly environment where students can optimise their potential.
I have worked for several of the leading exam boards in key roles which support my ability to enhance the learning of students.
I cover predominantly upper KS3 and GCSE English where my expertise in exam technique and subject development allow me to tutor students at the optimum level. I have extensive knowledge of all elements of the English language curriculum as well as the key English Literature texts.

Sarah is a great tutor. She helped both my children with their GCSE and their grades improved immensely from 5 to 8. after studying with Sarah. She provided with exam techniques, her flexibility was highly appreciated by my children. She was approachable and personal with both them making them feel comfortable. Sarah was a great support to my son in the preparation for his AQA English Literature and Language . She is friendly, patient and kind .My son always felt more positive about his English after a session with Sarah . She was flexible on timings and availability. They have spent time going through past papers across the subjects , reviewing and improving the answers together. Sarah is an excellent tutor. My daughter had a lack of confidence in her ability in English, especially sitting exams. She found the sessions with Sarah really helpful and enjoyable and got 7/8’s in her mocks rather than the 5/6’s she had been getting before. The lessons with Sarah are going great. She is kind and a great teacher. It is perfect to have English lessons with her. She is a good explainer and I am learning how sentences are arranged, grammatically and get the words in the right order in the form a well-organized manner. She is a professional and experienced teacher, but also a friendly and warm person, with a "smile", cares about her students, and in her busy lessons, she always finds space for advice and support. I have no hesitation to recommend her all those who are willing to learn error free grammatical English.
