About
I am a highly experienced teacher and tutor, having been a Head Teacher, Deputy Head and Head of Physical Education. I have tutored many students of varying abilities over the past 30 years, from those with dyslexia to highly capable Grade 9 GCSE students.
This has been in a wide variety of subjects, always adding value and aiming to build their confidence, understanding and ability to execute in exam conditions.
My tutoring philosophy is simple; learn the play-way. I always try to make lessons engaging and enjoyable, and build on relationships with both students and parents. I aim to empower pupils to take ownership of their studies and give them the tools to be successful in both the classroom and exam situations.
Generally, this approach has been highly successful and suited the vast majority of students, so I have continued with and developed it, to match pupils' needs.
