About
I have 15 years teaching experience in inner city and suburban schools, as well as privately tutoring. As a former Head of Humanities I have excellent experience of raising educational achievement, even outside of my areas of specialism. My GCSE and A Level results were regularly in the top 10% of the country, and my tutees last year all achieved top grades. Most of my A Level students went on to study at Russell Group universities, and others to Oxbridge. I have excellent knowledge of all the major exam boards and have taught a wide range of specifications. I am also an examiner for Edexcel, AQA and OCR at GCSE and A Level.

How we verify these
Each imported review went through admin review. The tutor proved ownership of the First Tutors profile via one of two paths:
- Photo match. The First Tutors avatar matched the tutor's identity-verified Tutorperch photo, confirmed by admin.
- Cryptographic email check. The tutor uploaded an original First Tutors email (.eml). We verified the DKIM signature against First Tutors' signing keys and cross-checked the embedded tutor ID against the claimed profile.
The review text is the original reviewer's own words, quoted as-is. We verified the tutor's ownership of the profile, not the truth of what each individual reviewer wrote.

Bonnie has been tutoring my daughter during her year 12 & 13 History A level studies. She has been thoroughly professional and knowledgeable throughout, providing a brilliant tutoring service. Reinforcing and building on school lessons, marking extra essays, helping with sources for extended reading and more. We would definitely recommend her without any hesitation!

Bonnie demonstrated excellent patience and commitment to my son throughout his year 13. She took over entirely delivering the syllabus, and supported the coursework too. He was successful in securing due the grade he achieved his first choice of University. Without excellent teaching this would not have been possible. Thankyou.

Excellent history tutor, my child has social anxiety and high expectations off teachers, and has absolutely appreciated Bonnie's tuition. Every lesson goes well from my child's perspective, no matter how hard their day has been. Thank you Bonnie! I am sure we are on the right track in my child's GCSE year for a high History grade.

Bonnie has been instrumental to preparing my son for his A'Level. Had I not got intervention at the time I did, my son would not have completed his exams. Bonnie has ensured focused and tailored tutoring sessions for my son for the past 6 months and I would highly recommend Bonnie's mentoring skills. Thank you for your support Bonnie!

Bonnie is very personable and hit it off with our son immediately, putting him at his ease. She is knowledgeable at GCSE History and he is finding her support very helpful. She is challenging enough to make him have to work hard but encouraging enough so that he feels that he is making progress. If you are looking for a tutor who genuinely cares about their students, then Bonnie certainly does. I really really can't recommend Bonnie highly enough.

Bonnie is an excellent tutor. My daughter said that she found her kind, knowledgeable and encouraging, and that Bonnie helped her a lot with an area she was finding difficult, prior to doing her A levels.

Bonnie has been helping my son with his A level history and has been excellent at building his confidence. As well as being friendly and supportive, she has offered extremely helpful guidance and direction with his essay writing. I know my son has already benefitted hugely in the short time we have had sessions.
