About
I am a highly experienced tutor with over 10,000 hours of private tutoring experience.
My specialist subjects are Economics, Business, Finance and related disciplines, which I teach up to Master's level. I also help with university applications, mentoring and interview preparation.
I was awarded a scholarship to attend the London School of Economics and graduated as a prize winner with the highest overall score on my degree programme. After working in Investment Management I decided to pursue a career as a full-time private tutor. In this time, I have worked with many international families in both London and overseas, through a combination of home-schooling placements, regular tuition sessions and short-term intensive placements prior to examinations.
I always take a tailored and discerning approach to my tuition. During my 12 years tutoring experience, I have helped a multitude of pupils secure entrance into the UK’s leading public schools and universities, and have helped many pupils achieve top marks in their examinations. From the 25/26 academic year, some student highlights include:
Master's tuition: Imperial College, MSc in Management, achieved Distinction.
Undergraduate tuition: UCL Economics, achieved first class in 1st year exams; KCL Business Management, achieved first class in 2nd year exams
IB HL Economics: 3 students achieved grade 7, 1 achieved grade 6 (up from 3).
A Level Economics: both of my students achieved A*, 1 now studying BSc Economics at Cambridge, 1 studying BSc Economics at LSE.
I maintain a limited number of active student slots each year to ensure maximum focus and detail for every family. Please get in touch if you'd like to check my current availability and discuss the support I can offer you.

Reviews from First Tutors
Imported from Darius BW's First Tutors profile before the site went dark. Shown separately from Tutorperch reviews — today they don't feed this tutor's Tutorperch rating or ranking.
How we verify these
Each imported review went through admin review. The tutor proved ownership of the First Tutors profile via one of two paths:
- Photo match. The First Tutors avatar matched the tutor's identity-verified Tutorperch photo, confirmed by admin.
- Cryptographic email check. The tutor uploaded an original First Tutors email (.eml). We verified the DKIM signature against First Tutors' signing keys and cross-checked the embedded tutor ID against the claimed profile.
The review text is the original reviewer's own words, quoted as-is. We verified the tutor's ownership of the profile, not the truth of what each individual reviewer wrote.

A fantastic tutor who was able to help at short notice with an urgent university assignment. He helped me learn the material, write the report and then review it at the end to make sure everything was perfect. I ended up scoring a first (77%) which was fantastic!

Darius was really prompt at replying to my messages which was great. However once I had paid the intro fee that released Darius's details and sent him over a few of my past exam papers, he told me that he would not actually be able to help with that particular module. Of course this is no one's fault, it is just an inconvenience as I am running out of time and I am anxious to get a tutor ASAP in order to prepare for my exams.
Darius BW replied
Thank you for the feedback, although I did inform you in advance that I would need to review the exam papers before confirming the tuition.
