About
I'm Eleri, a tutor in English and Politics. I'm passionate about both my subjects and I love helping students to learn. I have a Masters in Literature and Arts from Oxford University and a first class degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, also from Oxford. I also hold a Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training.
I believe every learner is different, and that tutoring works best when it's tailored to the needs, learning styles and interests of each individual student. I enjoy working with each student to find the approach that suits them best. I encourage students to develop their own ideas and opinions, as well as supporting them to structure their responses effectively to achieve the best possible marks.

How we verify these
Each imported review went through admin review. The tutor proved ownership of the First Tutors profile via one of two paths:
- Photo match. The First Tutors avatar matched the tutor's identity-verified Tutorperch photo, confirmed by admin.
- Cryptographic email check. The tutor uploaded an original First Tutors email (.eml). We verified the DKIM signature against First Tutors' signing keys and cross-checked the embedded tutor ID against the claimed profile.
The review text is the original reviewer's own words, quoted as-is. We verified the tutor's ownership of the profile, not the truth of what each individual reviewer wrote.

Eleri prepared and supported my daughter through her GCSE English assessments. I couldn’t recommend her more highly - Eleri ensured each lesson was planned in advance and sent my daughter texts to prepare her thinking. She was calm and gentle in her manner and always gave my daughter encouragement which built her confidence significantly. I have asked Eleri to support my second daughter through her English GCSE’s too.

My son is taking politics A level and Eleri is really helpful at making the subject interesting and understandable. My son was struggling with the amount of content, especially with complex subjects such as constitutional law and now understands it.
